CURRENT TRAIL CONDITIONS
March 29, 2025
Great skiing!!
We’ve received about 12-14 inches of snow in the last couple of days. All trails except the back 5 kms of the 15 have been groomed and track set. Conditions are very soft and slow today but should improve overnight if it gets cold enough.

Hornbeck Trails
The Hornbeck Trails span a total distance of 37.4 km. Hornbeck is located only 15 km northwest of Edson, north of the Junction of Highway 16 & Highway 47. This area offers superb cross-country ski trails and has a very well maintained trail system thanks to the Muskeg Flyers Nordic Ski Club.
The Muskeg Flyers previously offered a Kids Ski Program for ages 4 and up, cookies and hot chocolate get-togethers for all ages. We are actively seeking an interested volunteer(s) to lead this group with guidance and training support from the club and Nordiq Alberta. Let us know if you are interested!
Whether you are just beginning, or are an advanced skier/hiker, these trails are sure to please all.
